Our Programme

The unavailability of basic healthcare in our communities and Nigeria at large is a well-known fact that invariably leads to high mortality rate of preventable and curable tropical illness. There is a high prevalence of hypertension, diabetes, cataracts, malaria, glaucoma, malnutrition, chronic diarrhea parasitic worm infestations, and anemia in our rural community as well as high infant and maternal mortality. Access to good and affordable healthcare to our indigent people is almost non-existence; hence the commitment of JOJ-MF to provide some succor through Construction of a Medical Centre in our community that will help reduce morbidity and mortality from these preventable or manageable medical conditions.

We have prior to this initiative collaborated with Compassion in Action Medical Missions over the years in various medical missions they had carried out in our community and locality providing much needed material and financial support needed for the success of the missions.

JOJ Memorial Medical Centre is a standard and certified social-inclusion medical centre setup to serve and provide support to the medically disadvantaged in Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo State located in Elekenowasi Obohia Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area. It will be operated as a community health care centre/clinic providing routine general medical practices, emergency and non-emergency medical services, and diagnostic services to our clients in the community and its environs. It is a collaborative effort in loving memory of Mr. J.O.J. Onyeaghala who died in 1989, representing a variety of goodwill support, in Obohia Ahiazu area.

JOJ Memorial Medical Centre is positioning itself to serve Ahiazu Mbaise people and its environs whose medical institutions are poorly manned or equipped and are unable to access quality health care services from the existing health care providers.  In addition, the entire state has few number of state of the art medical diagnostic centre with professional manpower to see to the needs of patients for proper treatment and in keeping cost low.
